What the ranch runs

Prices are per person as the ranch publishes them, before tax. Rides go on set departures, so the booking calendar is the honest answer on any given date.

Riders following a wrangler along a desert trail past Joshua trees at the ranch

Guided horseback ride

  • All skill levels
  • Cowboy wranglers
  • Mojave Desert trails

Ride out from the corral on dusty trails under open sky, past Joshua trees, red rock and long desert views, twelve miles from the West Rim. The wranglers who lead the ride tell the stories as they go: frontier life, Native history, and how the ranch itself got here.

Wild West gun range

  • Ages 12 and up
  • Low-recoil firearms
  • Instructor led

Lever-action rifles and single-action revolvers, the kinds carried by cowboys, lawmen and outlaws in the 1800s. Trained instructors run every session and the firearms are low-recoil, so first-timers are fine. Pre-paid packages for individuals, families and groups.

Evenings

The campfire

A campfire burning beside canvas tipis with guests gathered around after dark
Campfire and tipis after dinner

Once the rides are in and dinner is done, the fire is lit and a Western musician plays the songs that made the West famous, with the dark bulk of Spirit Mountain behind.

Guests keep writing about this part, not the itinerary.

Coming from Las Vegas for the day?

The ranch runs roundtrip transfers and sells day packages that bundle a ride with meals.
